.NAME Domains

Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME universal domain extension is the single TLD planned for personal web pages only. These domains can consist of personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other titles people are known by. At first, solely 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you wanted to purchase john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already taken 3rd-level domains remained operational.

Through our firm, you can reserve your .NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the opportunity to switch the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our firm if you acquire its EPP transfer authorization key from the current registration service provider and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been completed. There are no special prerequisites on who can acquire a dot NAME domain name, but in order to keep the goal behind its establishment alive, the .NAME Registry organization may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.

The dot NAME universal TLD is among the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no additional cost. In this way, your dot NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the accurate spelling in your native language.
